Metis students have many options. In addition to data science and data analytics programs, the school offers prep courses related to data science and Python and intensive short courses. The curriculum summaries below focus on Metis’s four programs.

Data Analytics

This full-time program is a comprehensive program for learning data analytics. Designed by industry experts, the curriculum combines theory and practice. Projects involve taking data structures and applying them to real-world circumstances. The program lasts six weeks.

Tasks include data acquisition, project design, data storage at different scales, analysis, and much more. You will learn how to use algorithmic systems, SQL, and Excel. You will also be introduced to artificial intelligence technologies.

Data Science

If you choose the data science program, you will attend live online classes for 10 weeks. You will learn and apply the basic concepts of exploratory data analysis (EDA). Furthermore, you will learn how to do data science with Python and SQL, creating projects with both. Metis’ team of career advisors will help you integrate your projects into your portfolio.

The course prepares you to handle the most pressing challenges of modern data science. To stay ahead of the curve, you will get experience with commercial analysis, project management, and web support.

Data Science and Engineering

This intensive 10-week program is designed to teach you the basics of EDA. You will learn tools such as SQL and Python for your projects. You will also use the Jupyter and Matplotlib notebooks to visualize results.

Data Science and Machine Learning

This 10-week course combines data science and machine learning. After exploring the basics of NLP, dimensionality reduction, and recommendation systems, you will learn basic clustering techniques.

Metis Campuses: Where Can You Study?

For now, Metis only offers classes online. You can attend virtual classes from anywhere in the world. The school caps enrollment at 60 students per course. The relatively small class sizes facilitate Metis’s collaborative learning model.

Metis Schedules: When Can You Study?

Full-Time

Metis bootcamps have full-time schedules. This schedule consists of 40 to 60 hours of classes per week. The data analytics bootcamp goes for six weeks, while the other three run for 10 weeks.

The professional development courses are also on full-time schedules. But instead of six or 10 weeks, these courses take just two weeks to complete.

Part-Time

If you have other work or school responsibilities, you can take a part-time prep course. These courses are shorter than bootcamps but longer than professional development courses. Part-time courses go for six weeks and require a commitment of six to eight hours per week.

Metis Tuition

The cost of attending Metis depends on the type and contents of your chosen course. Bootcamp prep costs $499 or $750, all professional development courses cost $3,500, and bootcamp tuition ranges from $9,000 to $18,500. To pay these fees, you can access various financing methods and study plans.

Metis Financing and Payment Options

  • Installments. The traditional method is to pay an upfront deposit of $1,700 followed by three monthly installments. Your deposit should be made at least seven days before the first day of classes.
  • Loans. Metis has partnerships with Skills Fund and Climb Credit. These credit companies help you choose the most comfortable payment plan for you. You can pay after finishing the course.
  • GI Bill. If you are a veteran, you can access GI Bill benefits. You can get a discount of $2,000 to $3,000 depending on the program you choose.
  • Scholarships. Metis has a scholarship for minority groups. Under the Metis Scholarship, a woman, a member of the LGBTQ community, or a member of an underrepresented demographic can get $2,000 or $3,000 towards tuition.
