Sabio Curricula: What Can You Study?
At Sabio, you can study a range of software development frameworks and programming languages. Each program is divided into three or four phases and each phase covers several topics. Beginners are encouraged to take the prep bootcamp before diving into any of the three main programs.
Online PreWork
Sabio’s prep course is a $99 introduction to front end web development. You will learn how to use programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and C#, as well as how to interact with RESTful APIs.
There is also a free online version of the course made up of a series of downloadable resources and instructor-led virtual lessons. The materials will be available to you for four months, during which time you will also have access to a Slack network of experts and potential collaborators.
Node.js Full Stack
This course is dedicated to meeting the high demand for Node.js developers by immersing students in all things JavaScript. Over 12 weeks, students will learn about client-side frameworks, database architecture, and APIs, and then work on developing soft skills.
It also includes a deep dive into Google Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine, which aims to make students proficient in both front end and backend development.
Full Stack .NET
This program is also meant for aspiring web developers, but it focuses on .NET, another framework that is being widely adopted in full stack development circles. Just like Node.js, the .NET program is divided into four parts, each of which addresses specific topics.
In the first phase, you will learn how to use React and other popular design patterns and JavaScript libraries. Then you will focus on developing data-driven applications. The following section is dedicated to application tools and APIs, and the final set of lessons emphasizes the value of collaboration in the software development process.
Blockchain
This course teaches students everything they need to know about how blockchain technology can be leveraged in software development. It goes beyond the financial application of blockchain and addresses every other use case of the technology.
All the specific benefits of blockchain technology will be covered, including decentralization, cost savings, transparency, and user-controlled networks.

Sabio Schedules: When Can You Study?
Full-Time
Sabio’s full-time courses last for about 12 to 13 weeks and meet for 40 hours weekly. The schedule varies from campus to campus.
Part-Time
Sabio has two part-time options, in which you will spend either 20 or 24 weeks studying. The 20-week option runs for 16.5 hours daily, two days a week. If this time does not work for you, you can opt for evening classes, but the program will run for 24 weeks.
Flex
The flex option is only available for the online prep bootcamp. You can choose when during the four weeks to use the online resources, but you will have to take the live instructor-led class at the same time as everyone else.
Sabio Tuition
Tuition at Sabio is about $15,000 for most program options. While not exactly cheap, the courses come with numerous payment options such as scholarships, deferred payment, loan financing, and income share agreements.
Sabio Financing and Payment Options
- Deferred Tuition. The deferred tuition option is the most popular plan with Sabio students. Students are allowed to start their studies without paying any money. They only have to make payments after securing high-paying tech jobs. Even then, the monthly repayment could be as low as $199.
- Income Share Agreement (ISA). The income share agreement is similar to the deferred payment option. You will study now and pay when you get a full-time, high-paying job in the tech industry. The only difference is that you are required to make an initial deposit if you opt for the ISA instead of deferred payment.
- Loan Financing. Like with many other tech bootcamps, you can pay your tuition by applying for a loan from Ascent Funding. Ascent Funding has three different repayment options and your chances of getting the loan are always higher when you are co-borrowing the student loan.
- Veteran Discounts. Eligible veterans and their family members can enjoy major discounts at Sabio. The school accepts the GI Bill, VET TEC, VR&E, and the Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance Program.
Sabio Admissions: How to Get In
If you want to get into Sabio, you need all the information you can get about the program. Simply reading a Sabio overview and guide is not enough. To learn more, register for one of the school’s info sessions, which Sabio hosts on an ongoing basis.
During the info session, you meet with Sabio representatives, who will be happy to answer your questions. After that, you should proceed with the rest of the application process.
Sabio Application
The application process varies depending on your coding experience. If you do not have any experience, you will have to enroll in the prep course before moving forward.
Those who already have experience will have to prove themselves by taking the coding assessment. You can schedule the assessment when filling out your online application.
Sabio Interview
If you want to increase your chances of acing the Sabio interview, you should take the four-week prep course regardless of your prior experience. Some of the questions you will be asked during the interview are related to the prep courses.
The interview questions aren’t just about your experience in coding. You will also be tested on your problem-solving skills and asked about your personality.
Sabio Admission Rate: What Are My Chances of Getting In?
The biggest class size at Sabio has a limit of 15 students, and some classes have as few as 10 spots. With seats in such short supply, you’ll need to be an exceptional candidate if you want to get admitted.
But it doesn’t hurt to apply. Take the info session to meet the instructors, fill out an application, and take the prep course. If you don’t get in on your first attempt, you can always try again.
Sabio Outcomes: Will I Find a Job?
About 84 percent of all Sabio grads get tech jobs that pay an average salary of $100,000. Many of these graduates end up with jobs at prestigious companies like Google, Facebook, and Tesla.

I attended Sabio’s .NET program as a military veteran and it was amazing! There’s so much to learn about web development and programming, but Sabio’s full immersion program with real world projects definitely helped me develop the foundations needed to land a satisfying career. However, it did not come easy. It required a lot of work and belief in the program to develop the knowledge and confidence to build great applications. No worries though. Sabio’s staff and instructors are intelligent and helpful throughout the journey, especially Dan and Daniel. They never left me astray or confused. The only downside to Sabio (Culver City) was that it’s located off the busy I405. All-in-all, if you’re are self-motivated and love solving problems, go to Sabio! It’s worth the traffic.

Not only was the training at Sabio able to help me get my new job as a software engineer, I’m realizing the smooth transition that the Sabio training has provided into my new position. Coming from a digital marketing background, I had some technical experience but really nothing close to a software engineer. Knowing that, I was a bit worried about how I’d fit into this new industry and job but what I learned and the coding conventions we practiced were pretty close to what is out there in the real world. It’s not to say that they are a magic company that can automatically turn you into a full stack developer. But if you are truly interested and want a program to guide you and your learning in the right direction as you make the next transition, Sabio is the perfect place. Just a quick breakdown, you have 1 month to learn the basics (html,css,javascript,jquery,ajax,etc), a few weeks to learn the main technologies you will be using (for me that was React.js, .Net, and SQL), then you work on a real-world project for a startup by creating a minimum viable product (mvp). Pretty ingenious, but essentially you can legitimately say you have start up experience after you leave the program, in which not many bootcamps/programs offer. I’ll be honest, it was a lot of hard work and dedication and a lot of self-learning but if you really want it I would say it was totally worth it. As a nice little cherry on top, I was able to place First at my first hackathon with a team of developers I became friends with at Sabio. Grateful for all the people I’ve met along the way and the things I was able to experience. Thank you Sabio!

Sabio is amazing! As a person who never graduated from college but always had an intense work ethic, Sabio was the perfect solution for me to get into coding! Throughout my career I’ve found that learning and observing a professional is the best way to understand how to do the job using the best practices. I worked on a project which was using the stack React, Angular, Mongo, Express, and Node. It is a boot-camp like atmosphere but you have to understand that I came in not knowing how to code and almost freaked me out at first jumping into something that I have never done before but yet always wanted to do. The project that me and my cohort worked on prepared me for my current job as a working developer. There are some very unique things to learn like understanding realistic time frames for features, how code is actually written using best practices, code review for source control, agile/scrum project management, and being able to convey and explain features that I created in a professional manner. There were some people in my cohort that had some experience in coding but you should understand that the program is designed to challenge all levels of developer. I valued every hour that I spent there (70 hours per week) and learned as much as I could from our Senior Developer. I recommend going to a Sabio Info Session and they can explain everything in more detail! As a creative maker/tinkerer person, I understand that knowing how to code is almost like having a super power! You can literally create anything. I highly recommend Sabio and for me, they are the best coding program in Los Angeles hands down!! Thank you so much Gregorio and Liliana!

I love that we can take this program remotely. Instructors are very knowledgeable and patient. You must be willing to give 100% if you want to pass this course and have a passion for the study. Staff are very supportive and willing to answer any questions you may have.

The level of engagement from both the company and the other students seriously impressed me. Almost daily I had a message from Silvia asking me how I was getting along with the studying and feedback I gave was seriously considered. The slack channel also had a high level of engagement. Not only were there instructors responding to my questions but other students would also pitch in. Frankly I was amazed.
The course itself was challenging but after completing it and passing the assessment I feel that I am well prepared to enter the boot camp.
