Ironhack has four major programs, all divided into daily classes. Let your passion guide your choice to give the bootcamp your best shot. Since it is a tech institute, the courses are primarily for STEM students. You will learn the fundamentals of all four branches offered at the school.
Cyber Security
The Cyber Security bootcamp at Ironhack is divided into four modules. These are: Prework, Introduction to Cyber Security, Security and Threats, and Real Projects For Your New Career. The goal of this bootcamp is to train students to protect big data companies from external and internal threats. Before the first module starts, students are required to take precourse work online.
After you have finished with the computer science fundamentals, the first module of the course will introduce you to cyber security and what it entails. You will learn networking practice, communications protocols, network security principles, and more. The third and fourth modules focus more on real-world practicals.
Web Development
The Web Development bootcamp at Ironhack is extensive and it is meant for students who want to learn how to code. The first two modules will take you through Prework, followed by Responsive Design With HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The final two modules concentrate on backend and front end development. These will teach you the skills needed to become a full stack web developer. You will learn how to design interactive and functional websites, using the best development tools. The bootcamp focuses only on the tech industry’s most in-demand skills and requirements.
Data Analytics
This bootcamp is for anyone who wants to become a data scientist with a specific focus on data analytics. Like the others, it starts with a Prework module and is followed by three modules of intensive classroom work. You will learn how to use Python for data science.
By the time you complete the bootcamp, you will be an expert in data wrangling, web scraping, SQL databases, data visualization, and machine learning. The bootcamp ends with Ironhack’s Hackshow. This is where students compete to develop the best digital product. Hackshow boosts your resume to make you even more attractive to tech employers.
UX/UI Design
UX/UI Design is another hot branch of technology that will give you an edge in the industry. The UX/UI Design bootcamp at Ironhack is also divided into four modules. These are: Prework, Understand User Experience, Learn to Design User Interfaces, and Design Implementation.
The instructors will teach you how to use top-notch technology to improve the user experience of web and mobile applications. You will learn how to combine agile methodologies with design thinking, and a host of other strategies to create the perfect user-centric apps.
To pass the bootcamp, you have to take part in the guerrilla user-testing section and the Hackshow.

Ironhack Schedules: When Can You Study?
Full-Time
All Ironhack bootcamps have immersive full-time curriculums that run from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, for nine weeks. On top of the classroom hours, you will need to do plenty of homework to meet graduation requirements.
Part-Time
The bootcamps at Ironhack also have part-time programs. These run for two weekdays and on Saturdays over a course of 24 weeks. You will also need to dedicate 10 to 15 hours to homework.
Flex
The only flex plan that Ironhack currently has is for its online prep courses. All other courses require life instructors, so you have to follow the school’s schedule.
Ironhack Tuition
Depending on the bootcamp, the tuition varies. However, there are payment plans available for those who can’t afford to pay upfront. But bear in mind that Ironhack does not offer direct scholarships to students. You will need to opt for external scholarships if none of the following payment plans work for you.
Ironhack Financing and Payment Options
- Upfront Payment: If you opt for upfront payment at Ironhack, you will have to make your full tuition payment at least 20 days before the program starts. However, you need to pay a portion of the tuition to secure your spot in the first few days after you get admitted. Women in tech save 10 percent when they opt for upfront payment.
- Loan Financing: Thanks to its partnership with Climb Credit and Skills Fund, Ironhack allows students in the United States to pay their tuition with loan financing. For other countries, you will have to contact the school for more information. You do not need to start repayment of loans until you secure a high-paying tech job.
- Income Share Agreements: The income share agreement (ISA) has similar terms as loan financing. You will draw up a contract with the school’s ISA partner to study without the worry of tuition fees. However, you will pay out a percentage of your salary when you finally get a high-paying job in the tech industry.
Ironhack Admissions: How to Get In
Getting admitted is a three-step process that every student must follow before they can start learning. You don’t need any technical experience to get into any of the bootcamps. That’s because the prework will offer all the background information you need.
Even if technical skills are not required, researching your bootcamp of interest will give you an edge during the interview process.
Ironhack Application
There is an online application portal dedicated strictly to submitting your application. You will fill in your details and contact data, the course you intend to study, and choose one of the upcoming start dates. There is an option to share how you heard of Ironhack and why you became interested in the institute.
After you turn in the online application, Ironhack will get in touch. You will learn the details about the two interviews needed to complete the admissions process.
Ironhack Interview
As stated above, there are two interviews required before you can be considered for admissions. The first interview is non-technical and it allows the admissions team to learn more about you. You will also be introduced to the course and given details about Ironhack’s expectations.
During the second evaluation, the interviewer will set technical challenges to find out how much you know about web development, design, or any other course you choose. This is where background tech knowledge comes in handy.
Ironhack Admission Rate: What Are My Chances of Getting In?
Ironhack has an admission rate of 20 percent. So, your chance of acceptance is higher than for Flatiron and many other bootcamps.
The admission is merit-based, so submitting the right information and passing the interviews are vital. Then you will have to wait to find out if you’re headed to Ironhack or not.
Ironhack Outcomes: Will I Find a Job?
Yes, there is a strong chance that you will find a high-paying tech job a few months after you graduate. Note that Ironhack does not offer a job guarantee. However, it does everything it can to ensure that students get placed in reputable companies.
The school has a network of hiring partners who post job openings on the platform. Students are assisted in resume building and they are matched with partner companies, called Ironhackers.
Job Placement Services at Ironhack
Ironhack has a dedicated job placement service known as CareerHack. This job placement service has an 89 percent success rate, a high statistic when compared to other institutions.
CareerHack has placed Ironhack graduates in companies such as Google, BBG, Accenture, Cabify, Twitter, Rocket Internet, Indeed, MagicLeap, and more.
Should You Apply to Ironhack?
Yes, you should apply for a spot at Ironhack the moment you’re ready to start a career in tech. There are three upcoming scheduled bootcamps in March, June, and August. You might not get any internal scholarships from Ironhack, but the financing options will help reduce the cost.

Ironhack was a great experience: sharing about UI/UX with classmates and having the Teacher and TAs supporting us. It also feels a very open environment to talk about anything we need. The encouragement of having a community is great because after we graduated I’m still in contact with the rest of the Ironhackers.
It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it. The program also helps to understand the german job market, what is expected from you, and how can you insert yourself in it. Carrier Support is very valuable. Staff is always willing to help you to have the best experience.
Don’t work freelance or part time during the bootcamp, there’s no time for that. A lot of reading and teamwork. You learn as much as you want. Teachers are there to guide you, but you are a grown up person that decided to be there. For people who doesn’t come with a design background, they need to put extra effort on learning and handling the visual concepts in a short time.

I’m one of those that came to Ironhack to change my career. I started this Bootcamp without no prior knowledge in programmig or statistics and now I feel ready to work on the field. The teachers are always available to help us learn and improve. It was, by far, the best investment I’ve made in my life.

Very good and highly recommend (Data Analytics), during the course you realize how much the course content was scaled in a way that shows a little of everything in the data area, but without being superficial. And during the course the team here from Brazil reviewed the entire content, making it more interesting and applicable to the daily work.
I just think that the teacher (not to mention the excellent TAs) could have participated a little more of the classes, because in the first two weeks and in the last two weeks she was absent due to trips and so on.

I joined Ironhack UX/UI full-time design bootcamp after recommendation and many positive reviews I read on the Internet. It is important to notice here than Ironhack has many locations and for sure there is a lot of differences between them – actually it’s hard to find them about this specific course in Berlin, so this is why I decided to write my opinion here.
Maybe I will start from positive part here. The working environment it’s really amazing, mostly due to the people who participate in the course. It’s really great to work with people with different skills and with various background – everyone was very supportive, kind and helpful. When you are stuck with anything, you can always count on your classmates. Also, I think the curriculum is well constructed and contains the most important information – of course, it’s super intense and it’s not possible to remember everything from the lectures but you will get a forever access to the learning platform – pretty helpful. The cool building, comfortable chairs and the free barista were also big advantages 🙂
Before joining the course, I studied carefully the info and details on their websites. For sure, Ironhack promises a lot and it’s not suprising, beacuse the bootcamps are very expensive (and getting even more). I would like to refer here to some of their promises.
First of all the, the group was bigger than they promised, and way bigger than in the different locations. I was counting for a small group and pair work experience, instead it was more like back-to-school and 4 people in the group way of working – way too much.
First of all, the lead teacher is not a UX/UI designer, but a visual designer, and actually he is not even really interested in the UX part and as he admitted, he has never really worked with it. I expected him to have a broad knowledge about UX, but it was pretty limited to the slides he was presenting. Also, he was very hardly accessible – he was usually leaving early or were always busy with something else. To be honest, he didn’t seem really interested in the job.
Ironhack presents itself as a team “tech spec” – but a lot of times they are just lacking skills. The teacher and TA are definitely not specialist in the softwares that are used during the course – it’s very disappointing. During the career week, some invited people to the school seemed pretty random – maybe just to fill our time with something? I’m not sure if inviting a person who is an ex-TA who doesn’t have a job yet as an “interview specialist” or doing negotiation workshops with a person who has no experience with it is the best idea… I think Ironhack should really take closer look at the people who they are hiring – both the teacher and TAs seem often unmotivated and not really engaged in their work. I understand they are not professional designers but sometimes their advice and knowledge is lower that the participants of the course. And also, complaining about students in the common areas, where everyone can hear it, is VERY unprofessional.
Overall, I learned a lot during the course, but it was a lot of my individual work I put in it and also from people I ask for advice from – unfortunately I can’t say the staff was really helpful. I think that Ironhack is not a bad school, but for this price, people’s expectations were way higher, what almost everyone admitted at the end. At the moment, I’d advice to think twice before joining campus in Berlin and maybe to consider different locations.

After a few months learning to code with online platforms and youtube videos the bootcamp was a big change of pace, the experience gave me the chance to work in pair programming projects with different people with different backgrounds that deeply helped me to learn and communicate my ideas, the daily challenges with katas from codewars helped me to improve my logical thinking and the projects created along the course made me see how much can be done in a small amount of time when you put your heart into it. I fall in love with code and in two intense months I changed the path of my professional career.

I did the Data Analytics bootcamp in Brazil and highly recommend it. During the course we see a little of everything. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it. I’ve never learned so much in such a short time! If you want to switch your career and learn how to code, this course is for you.

At first, I was a bit insecure about the fast learning skills needed for the bootcamp, but it is possible and the team gave me all the support I needed.
The course’s content is great, very consistent with the job market and they give you the space to dive into the subjects you are most interested in and find which area you want to pursue. The projects are great to test our learning and put into practice the theory explained on the classes, and can be used on a portfolio after.

The bootcamp is a good experience and great opportunity to meet new interesting people. It’s a good way to focus and work on the portfolio. However, if you are motivated and have time, you can do it at home with all available online materials. But of course it’s cooler (but also A BIT more expensive) to do it in the group. Most depends on you, your motivation and, very important, your preparation. Of course background (ot talent) in visual design helps a lot especially for UI). The lead teacher is experienced and helpful. Teacher’s assistants are mostly freshly graduated Ironhackers.

Ironhack UX UI Designer bootcamp in Berlin offers a cutting edge training program for wanna be tech people. The structure and the content of the program is highly professional, unique, meets all standards of contemporary tech education and has an eye also on the after life, meaning it has a strong accent on career development and placement support.
The bootcamp is tough but doable and truly one of a kind experience with huge influence on students life and career chances. However, lacking any kind of graphic program skills or editorial background in advance makes the story extreme stressful. Still, joining Ironhack was one of the best choices I ever made.
