Data Science Dojo Curricula: What Can You Study?

Data Science Dojo specializes in teaching students how to extract insights from data in a short timeframe. The school’s curricula cover topics in practical data science, including R programming and Azure tools, machine learning concepts, Python, data analytics, and more.

Data Science and Data Engineering Bootcamp

Taught by data scientists from renowned tech companies, the 16-week Data Science and Data Engineering Bootcamp is Data Science Dojo’s best-selling program. You only have to commit five to six hours a week, and once you’re finished, you’ll receive a certificate from the University of New Mexico. But you do have to complete mandatory pre-work before it starts.

In addition to the core topics, you will drill down on things like the basics of data mining, big data engineering, and how to tell stories with data.

Data Science for Managers and Business Leaders

In this remote course, aspiring business analysts will learn how to make data-driven business decisions. It lasts five days, and students are expected to commit three hours per day.

The curriculum covers the data lifecycle, data science and machine learning tools, and business and product development techniques.

Python for Data Science

This live interactive course teaches core Python concepts for data science and it culminates in a final Python project. Over five three-hour days, students will learn data handling techniques, data wrangling, aggregation and grouping, data exploration, RESTful APIs, and data pipelines in Python.

The program is offered in partnership with the University of New Mexico, so graduates will receive a verified certificate at the end.

Data Science Dojo Schedules: When Can You Study?

Part-Time

Each bootcamp has its own schedule, but all are part-time and extremely manageable. The flagship data science bootcamp holds one three-hour class every week for 16 weeks. The Python course and the course for business leaders are held for three hours a day on five consecutive days.

Corporations can also hire Data Science Dojo to come to their workplaces and administer a tailored version of one of its programs.

Data Science Dojo Tuition

Data Science Dojo tuition varies by program. Also, each program is offered at four different price points, which are called Dojo, Guru, Sensei, and Practicum.

The Dojo price is what the bootcamp itself costs. With Guru and Sensei, you get everything in Dojo plus access to different types of learning materials. The Practicum level, which is only available with the flagship program, includes a three-month data science internship.

Data Science Dojo Financing and Payment Options

• Pay in full. There is always the option of paying for the bootcamp upfront and in full.
• Discounts. Students who register early can receive discounts as high as 27 percent off the cost of tuition. Additionally, groups of four or more who register together are eligible for five percent off.
• Payment Plan. Loans with Ascent Funding, Data Science Dojo’s lending partner, start at the low as $81 a month. There is also a deferred payment option.
• CITREP+ Package. On this unique deal, the Singaporean government will cover a portion of the tuition for qualifying citizens or permanent residents of Singapore.
• Fellowships. Finally, the school offers fellowships to people who work for non-profits that use data science to improve lives.
