If you’re looking for a solid coding curriculum and a strong kickstart to a web development career, this is it. I’ll admit that I was skeptical about what to expect out of a coding boot camp going into this course even after reading the reviews on here but after a few weeks, I felt like I was in the right place. The class size was perfect and the instructor, Connor, was patient with everyone and answered every question I had even though there were many. I heard horror stories about some of the other commercialized boot camps out there from some of the other students and was glad I picked this one. I was struck by how professional everyone was and how determined the staff was at getting all the students hired to positions that best fit them. There are coding assignments on almost every night. You’ll need to dedicate at least 3-4 hours every night to get the most out of the class. The class did move fast at times, which is the case at most boot camps from what I’ve heard. There were some students that were less experienced programmers but the instructor was able to adapt the curriculum to their strengths and helped them create a solid final project by the final week. There were practice technical interviews at the end of the week to get us prepped for the job search. Ripal, one of the co-founders stopped in during the final week when several companies came in to interview us and offered advice and feedback on our resumes and presentations. We were encouraged to keep in touch with our fellow alumni afterward and to check in if we had coding questions as we search for jobs. By the end of the boot camp, I can say I do feel ready for my first coding job and that I could probably pick up any framework thrown my way pretty quickly. Great experience overall and I would highly recommend Coding Temple to anyone.

The Python and Data Science course SHOULD BE CALLED PYTHON DEVELOPMENT.
PLEASE. I’m saying that to the company. You are nice people, but if I had been strapped for cash (not like I was rolling in dough, but I spent 10k!! and there was one day of SQL, the database content is only for programming the backend of websites. ONE DAY they flew someone out from Chicago but I already knew what he taught because there were 4 students, I was the one interested in data science, and about 3 weeks in i realized i made an enormous mistake thinking that “Python and Data Science” meant “Python and Data Science.” Honestly, I paid 30 bucks (at the time) and really liked dataquest… at least i felt like i was doing something productive. There is zero machine learning. I learned from data quest some machine learning. They introduce the numpy library, but it ends there.
I was reallllly nervous about what the hell I was doing to do after spending 10k and knowing that I went to a “Full Stack Python” developers course when theres no way in hell I wouldve ever done that.
I cant give it too low a rating because there is something GREAT to be said about small class size. And when something is so new and everyone is there because they want to be (they paid for it!) theres no need for the childish stress that ive heard goes on at GA. Just beacuse things were laid back at coding temple, doesnt translate to anything negative because the student teacher ratio is so small.
I will say, it is a very big negative to not have a professional-looking (formatted all the same) course “book” (lyou know, like a printed and bound thing), because I remember days when no one knew where we were on the non-detailed schedule. ) Plus, i think the instructors owe the student as part of the cost to include book more-or-less to remind oneself how things fit together.
I got a job 6 months later. It was a data science job. I don’t use Python. I like having moved across the country.
I wouldnt have made such a good change/”shaken up” my life that was feeling boring if I didnt go to Coding Temple. In that way, I can’t NOT like it. But I think I learned 5% of what I learned from the start of the course to getting a job from Coding Temple/from my 10k.
Its that simple. DO NOT INCLUDE THE PHRASE DATA SCIENCE ANYWHERE. IT’S VERY VERY MISLEADING. it’s beyond misleading, actually.
i think ill put half stars because i thought Derek was really nice. I thought the female teacher was rude. Not just rude, but ineffective as a teacher. that was the concensus.

I completed a 10 week course at Coding Temple and am very happy with the results. I went in with no coding background at all and left with all the knowledge I needed to start a new career. Coding Temple could be the right fit for anyone trying to start a new career in a relatively short period of time.

If you have no experience in programming and you want to kickstart yourself then this is the place for you. They will begin at a fair pace where you can get yourself familiar with the basic concepts. After the first week or so things will pick up and you will have to put in work outside of class if you want to have a chance of being a skilled programmer by the end of the course, the 40 hours a week is not enough. They provide you with the building blocks and you have to improve those skills. Don’t do this if you aren’t going to put in the time.
Coding Temple provides you with a collaborative environment to work and grow together with your classmates. They provide free snacks, drinks, video games, and a ping pong table to relax and rejuvinate after hard, thought-provoking lessons.

I came to coding temple with no prior programming experience. What appealed to me most were the small class sizes; there were 6 of us in the cohort. Connor, our instructor, challenged us and was happy to answer any question we had. After 10 weeks, I feel that I have enough knowledge to be employed as a full-stack software developer.

I had a pretty great experience at Coding Temple, and definitely don’t regret spending the money. I was pretty skeptical about how qualified I would actually be after completing the course, but I honestly feel like I could be an asset to a company at this point. Connor was a great instructor, and could answer just about any question we had, and would tell us he didn’t know or look up the answer if he couldn’t. I would have preferred a little more structure/sticking to the structure laid out at the beginning of the course, but overall I definitely feel like I come out with a very good education, and feel qualified for a job in the industry.

I have an Associate Degree, and I’d say the skills I learned from instructors Derek and Ananya put me on par with 4 year university graduates. With my new job, I was able to pay off the cost of the program in a couple of months. I know people who had no prior coding experience, and found great tech jobs soon after graduating from Coding Temple.

Coding Temple is life-changing. This was by far the most robust workload I’ve ever done in a matter of 12-weeks. I had no coding experience before taking Coding Temple. The pre-work was well designed to help me learn the fundamentals before attending the Bootcamp. The small class sizes and 1-1 instructor interaction played a significant role in my success. Coding Temple ended up changing my life. I encourage anyone to apply who is passionate about coding and willing to put in the work.
